We offer a range of group sessions to support your child’s speech, language, literacy and social skills

Group Sessions.

In addition to 1:1 therapy services, we run small groups during the term to support our client needs. Our group programs are unique because they are run by qualified speech pathologists, speech pathology Allied Health Assistants and certified teachers - the perfect mix to support your child’s learning needs.

Places for 2023 are filling up fast.

Note that all of our group sessions are eligible to be funded under the NDIS.

Nature Sound and Craft Playgroup (8-week program, running terms 1 and 4)
Preschoolers |
Based outside, this group embraces the sunshine! Designed to encourage social development and language skills through play, the group draws on process art, singing and explicitly working on speech sounds in a comfortable group environment.

School Support Saturdays (8-week program, running each term)
Prep - Year 2 | Our new program run during the school term on Saturday mornings, helping kids feel more confident in early literacy development, oral language and social skill development in a supported, small group environment with plenty of time for 1:1 support.
Combines both educator and speech pathology knowledge and evidence-based practice in an ideal setting to best support your child.

Preparing for Prep (8-week program, running each term)
4 Year Old Kinder |
This is a program for kids enrolled in 4 year old kinder or equivalent. It is designed to support kids during the school term to become more confident following the group plan, listening to instructions, interacting with peers and harnessing a love for learning. During this program, kids will work on language, social skills, early literacy foundations and phonological awareness through play.

School Readiness (4-week program, running term 4)
Term before starting prep |
This intensive program is designed to help your 4yo kinder child to get ready for their big first year at primary school. Focusing on social skills, language and literacy foundations.
The School Readiness intensive is currently at capacity for 2022. If you’re keen on your child attending this program during term 4, 2023, please contact us to join our waiting list.

  • Sound Adventures is a registered Medicare Provider. With the Chronic Disease Management Medicare initiative, you may be entitled to claim rebates for up to 5 speech therapy sessions per calendar year. Contact your General Practitioner for more information on eligibility.

  • Sound Adventures accepts self-managed and plan-managed National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants. For more information about NDIS funding or eligibility, call 1800 800 110 or visit the NDIS web page for more information.

  • Private Health rebates through your insurance provider’s “extras” cover. Contact your insurance provider can help you understand your eligibility and the rebates you may be entitled to

  • Note that school, kinder and childcare visits are available at an additional travel fee
