We offer a range of services to support your child’s speech, language, literacy and social skills

What to expect.

Sound Adventures offers a high service to help your child excel in their speech and language goals. Before commencing therapy, it is important to have a thorough assessment of your child’s communication profile so we can work collaboratively to understand your child and be guided by a combination of evidence-based assessments, parent reporting and play observations.

Consultations include:

  • The face-to-face time we spend engaging with your child and/or family to maximise the time allocated

  • Session preparation – time and thought goes into planning your child’s individual session and preparing any materials and resources required that will be motivating for your child

  • Providing home practice, information and feedback

  • Checking in on goals during therapy, and answering any questions or concerns to best assist you

  • Administrative costs relating to correspondence with other healthcare professionals, GP letters for Medicare plans and managing your child’s progress notes and documentation (Please note that any correspondence over 15 mins will incur a small fee).

Our services.

Sound Adventures provides formal and informal evidence-based assessment to better understand your child’s learning style, language development and overall communication profile so therapy goals set are most meaningful for your child.

Assessment tools vary from parent interviews and checklists, play observations to more structured table top tools where appropriate.

In addition to 1:1 therapy services, we run small groups during the term to support our client needs. Our group programs are unique because they are run by qualified speech pathologists, speech pathology Allied Health Assistants and certified teachers - the perfect mix to support your child’s learning needs.
